Workflow Steps
Step 1 - Customer Check-in & Rental Agreement
A customer wants to rent a bike. The shop staff records their information, has them sign a digital waiver and rental agreement, and processes payment.
Step 2 - Bike Assignment & Pre-rental Inspection
A specific bike is assigned to the customer. The bike is inspected for any damage before it is rented out, and its condition is noted.
Step 3 - Bike Return & Post-rental Inspection
When the customer returns, the bike is checked in. It is inspected again for any new damage, and any additional charges (e.g., for late return) are calculated.
Step 4 - Maintenance Cycle
After a certain number of rentals, or if damage is found, the bike is automatically flagged and taken out of service to undergo a scheduled maintenance check.
