Workflow Steps

Step 1 - Guest Request for Early Check-in

A guest requests an early check-in, either in advance via an app or upon arrival at the front desk.

Step 2 - Real-time Room Status Check

The front desk agent checks the Property Management System (PMS) to see if a room of the guest's assigned type is clean and available.

Step 3 - Approval & Notification

If a room is available, the agent approves the request and notifies the guest. If there is an associated fee, it is added to the guest's bill.

Step 4 - Update Reservation & Key Issuance

The guest's reservation is updated in the PMS to reflect the early check-in time, and room keys are issued.

The Purpose of Early Check-in (Double Room)

This workflow is for hotels to manage guest requests for early check-in. It allows the front desk to see in real-time which rooms are clean and available, and to approve early check-in requests based on that availability. This can improve guest satisfaction by providing a more flexible and accommodating experience, and can also be a source of ancillary revenue if an early check-in fee is charged.
